DESCRIPTION:Safely dispose of your household hazardous waste (HHW) and electronic waste (e-waste) free of charge!\n\n\nLos Angeles County and the Sanitation Districts host FREE one-day\, drive-through collection events where residents can drop off their HHW and e-waste. CLICK HERE to view upcoming events. \nEvents are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (unless otherwise noted)\, rain or shine\, and open to all Los Angeles County residents. No appointment is needed. \nCLICK HERE to learn what to expect when attending an event. \n \nIn addition to these events\, all Los Angeles County residents may also use the following permanent collection centers to dispose of HHW and e-waste at no cost: \n\nCity of Los Angeles S.A.F.E. Centers(various locations)\nAntelope Valley Environmental Collection Center(Palmdale)\nEDCO Recycling and Transfer Center(Signal Hill)\n\nPlease note that there is a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of household hazardous waste and/or e-waste per trip. Waste generated from a business will not be accepted. \n \nBUSINESS WASTE \nHazardous and electronic waste generated from businesses is not accepted at County permanent centers or collection events. \nIf you are a small business with hazardous waste\, visit www.businessrecycling.com to locate a proper recycler. \nYou may qualify for the Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) Program.
