The Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center (AVECC) is a permanent facility offering a free and convenient method for residents of Los Angeles County to properly dispose of unwanted household hazardous and electronic waste (HHW/E-Waste), such as paint, solvents, chemicals, computers, batteries, cell phones, fluorescent lights, and other household hazardous materials. We do not accept: Household Hazardous and electronic waste from a business, explosives, ammunition, marine flares, radioactive materials, controlled substances, trash and tires, and white goods (refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, etc.
To enhance public health and safety and keep the environment clean, the County of Los Angeles and Waste Management encourage residents to drop off HHW/E-Waste at the AVECC. This center is located at 1200 W. City Ranch Road in Palmdale and is open to the public on the first and third Saturday of each month, from 9 am until 3 pm. AVECC will be closed the following dates: 2/17/24 and 7/6/24.
