Safely dispose of your household hazardous waste (HHW) and electronic waste (e-waste) free of charge!

Items accepted at the EDCO Recycling and Transfer Collection Center include unwanted non-controlled pharmaceuticals, needles and syringes, antifreeze, car batteries, cleaning supplies, cosmetics, used motor oil, pesticides, household batteries, fluorescent light bulb
s, TVs, computers, VCRs, stereos, and cell phones. Residents can bring up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds of HHW per vehicle.

We do not accept: Household Hazardous and electronic waste from a business, explosives, ammunition, marine flares, radioactive materials, controlled substances, trash and tires, and white goods (refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, etc.

The Center is located in one of Los Angeles’ most densely populated areas and will serve as a convenient outlet for all county residents to safely dispose of hazardous waste.

The Center provides a free, convenient, and environmentally safe method for County residents to drop off HHW/E-Waste free of charge. The Center is located at EDCO Recycling and Transfer Center, 2755 California Ave, in the City of Signal Hill. EDCO is typically open on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month from 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m., except in the event of a holiday.
