On July 1, 2025, Ware Disposal began providing services as the new waste hauler for all waste and recycling services in the unincorporated communities of South San Gabriel and Whittier Narrows.
Starting November 3, 2025, Ware Disposal will begin replacing your current Universal Waste Systems (UWS) carts with carts from Ware Disposal.

Here’s what to know about the Cart Swap:
All basic service and extra carts are expected to be swapped November 3 through November 14.
- Place all your carts out on your scheduled collection day.
- When it’s your turn, carts will be swapped after collection, by 6 p.m.
- Ware Disposal will service ALL carts throughout the cart swap period. Your old carts will be exchanged for gently used Ware Disposal carts on your regular collection day.
- Contact Ware Disposal at (877) 714-9273 for any requests. Same-day service is available if there is an issue with your carts.
